SUMMARY:Minimally Invasive Caries Management For Your Pediatric Patient
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Midway Education Center (MEC) \nMinimally invasive management of dental caries for pediatric patients has been proven\neffective in many clinical situations. Whether your patient presented with behavioral challenges\,\nfinancial barriers to traditional dental treatment or difficulties with access to care of regular\ntreatment\, minimally invasive techniques have been useful tools for these patients. Now focus has turned to these treatment modalities as they can be accomplished\, quickly and effectively and often without use of any handpiece at all. In this webinar you will learn effective treatment to slow caries progression\, arrest caries\, and place interim restorative treatment. You will learn about silver diamine fluoride / potassium iodide\, and glass ionomer restorative materials\, and how to use these tools to help manage your pediatric patient population. \nLearning objectives: \n• Understand the implications of traditional caries management and the barriers that can present using these techniques\n• Recognize the mechanism and rationale for caries arrest medicaments silver fluoride and potassium iodide\n• Understand how glass ionomers play an important role

SUMMARY:“IMPLANTOPIA”: UTOPIA OR DYSTOPIA IN DENTAL IMPLANTOLOGY – IT’S ALL IN THE PLANNING
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nAudience: This course was created for doctors. \nRestorative therapy for dental implantology has been described as everything from a “slam-dunk” to complicated. At times\, this discipline has been referred to as entirely frustrating. Why is there such a disparity in perspectives on restoring dental implants? The bottom line…planning. In this Friday Super-Symposium\, two distinct perspectives will be offered on this topic. In part one\, Utopia will be described using a comprehensive planning approach to implant prosthetics. In part two\, Dystopia will be discussed along with the “what-if” perspective when things do not go as planned. This will be followed by a panel discussion along with an extended question/answer period for the participants. In these symposia presentations\, the following topics will be discussed: \nPart One – “Utopia” – Chad Duplantis\, DDS\, FAG \n• Implant diagnostics and considerations.\n• Developing a full team approach through appropriate communication… digitally!\n• Restorative options and considerations for single units and implant bridges. \nPart Two – “Dystopia” – Miles Cone\, DMD\, CDT\, FACP \n• Communication with the laboratory including critical material choices\, restorative philosophies\, and shade selection.\n• Worst-case scenarios in treatment planning.\n• Fixed\, Removable and combined implant prosthetics.\n• Patient Case-studies (Good-bad examples) \nPart Three  –  Live Panel Discussion – Chad Duplantis\, DDS\, FAGD. Miles Cone\, DMD\, CDT\, FACP\, Jeffrey W. Horowitz\, DMD\, FAGD \n• Round-Table discussion on implant perspectives\n• Question/Answer period
